Senior Development Director

The DIME Program, a 501(c)3 foundation, is committed to empowering high school students with the knowledge and tools to build long-term wealth. Our program has transformed the lives of many students, with over $20,000 in stock accounts and $50,000 in college scholarships awarded to those who have completed our program. Our Goal

Our goal is to normalize discussions about wealth creation, investing, and business among high school students. To achieve this, we require a senior-level development officer who can inspire corporate and individual donors to provide financial support for this crucial mission.

 

Primary Responsibilities of the Senior Development Director

• Design and implement a comprehensive partnership strategy to secure mid-level ($25,000- $100,000) and large-level (greater than $100,000) corporate and individual donors.

• Secure upwards of $1,000,000 in annual partnership revenue by 2026.

• Draft partnership proposals and manage contract negotiations to capture the full value of partnerships.

• Track partnership ROI and report on progress to key stakeholders.

• Maintain, nurture and expand existing corporate partnerships.

• Represent the DIME brand with expertise, passion and professionalism.

• Conduct virtual and in-person visits and other high-level interactions with donors and prospects, documenting actions as appropriate.

• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of routine work such as gift acknowledgements, solicitation and cultivation mailings, event invitations, CRM data entry, and database coding of gifts.

• Work with program staff as needed to acquire the knowledge needed to solicit gifts and build donor relationships.

• Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

• 3+ years work experience in individual, foundation, and corporate giving/sponsorship development role. Relevant experience in financial literacy education is a plus.

• Demonstrated success in building partnerships with a thorough understanding of creating and moving leads through a pipeline while fully owning each part of the sales process.

• Documented portfolio of national corporate relationships, event sponsorships, and cause-related marketing.

• Prior success in roles with clear and concrete goals and a track record of meeting goals. Experience in setting goals for their own progress.

• Experienced in developing sales pitches, presentations, and demonstrations.

• Ability to think creatively about identifying opportunities, growing relationships, and increasing revenue.

• Proven skill in distilling information into compelling, easily digestible narratives; presenting information in an inspiring and persuasive way.

• Proven ability to listen and respond to develop mutual understanding and trust.

• Experienced in fostering an environment where different opinions and approaches can be entertained, considered, and appreciated while working as a team to find a resolution.

• Ability to adapt and multi-task.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.

• Proficiency in Salesforce is a plus.
